Welcome new and returning families to the East Silver Spring  Elementary School Parent Teacher Association (ESS PTA) website! Please visit this site regularly for information about upcoming events and updates on school activities.

Our PTA sponsors many academic enrichment programs and community-building activities throughout the year — events aimed at helping us celebrate our diverse and dynamic community.

We “PTA” through: 

​

Engagement: Planning and hosting community events such as mobile town halls, diversity, equity and inclusion training and programs, International Night, Grief and Growth Gardens, Spring Carnival, the Parent vs Staff basketball game, and more — all activities that bring people together, celebrate our diversity, and support our kids.

Enrichment: Providing after school classes in coding, engineering, theater, arts and more through Panda Clubs. Participating in Reflections, supporting STEM Night, Math Night, Reading Night, and more! Communicating with teachers and families to find out new ways to help meet student needs 

​

Advocating: Connecting with elected officials and community leaders to advocate for all of our children’s needs such as access to healthy food, clean water, safe routes to school, and equitable support and resources as students return-to-school amid the pandemic.

  

Fundraising: Raising funds through community events, grants and corporate sponsors to better support our school community.
